How to use dental floss?

How to use dental floss? Will the gaps between teeth really become larger after use?

Since I was diagnosed with periodontitis, I have been paying great attention to oral hygiene. Dental floss can be said to be one of the essential tools for oral cleaning. I use it every time I finish my meal, and after getting used to it, it feels uncomfortable not to use it. Don't be lazy, be sure to clean your teeth daily and protect them!

"Which is useful, a dental floss stick or dental floss?"

It depends on personal usage habits. For me, I still prefer dental floss over dental floss sticks. One is that it is relatively easy to control the force with both hands, and it will not hit the gums in one go; The second issue is that the floss stick only has a length of 1cm to clean the entire tooth, which is always not very hygienic; Thirdly, the dental floss stick is a straight thread that is difficult to wrap around the entire side of the tooth, while the dental floss is soft, flexible, and has a large cleaning area. So I basically use dental floss (but there are also many friends who use dental floss sticks, no matter which one, it's easy to use~)

Will the gaps between teeth become larger? How do you use dental floss? How often do you use it

Don't worry, it won't happen! As long as you use it correctly, the gaps between your teeth will not become larger. If you have this feeling, it is because your gaps are already so large, but have not been cleaned before. The gaps are blocked by tartar and the gums are inflamed. After cleaning, these problems will disappear before the gaps appear larger. Be careful not to press down too hard, as it will directly hit the gums and cause great damage. You should slowly slide along the sidewall of your teeth!!

I will take a length of about 40cm each time I use it, wrap it around the left and right sides with both hands, and leave only about 2cm in the middle (as shown in Figure 2). After cleaning a few teeth, I will replace them with a new one. At the beginning, it will be difficult to clean the posterior teeth, so it is enough to be proficient a few times. (If you don't know how to do it, you can watch more video tutorials, which are very detailed.)

Frequency of use: Every time I finish my meal, I use dental floss and almost always clean out any residue. The cleaning time is about five minutes each time (it really takes about ten minutes to get started). After cleaning, I also rinse it again with dental floss

Several types of dental floss I have used

Figure 3: The green version of Euler B is flat and lightweight, which can easily wrap around the sidewalls of teeth and is easy to control. There is also a hint of mint flavor, but this mint flavor is a bit sweet. If you don't like it, you need to consider it

Their other white product (Figure 4) is particularly thin, making it difficult to remove residues Dental floss always passes by them but cannot be removed A little skill is needed.

There is also a special one in the picture of the Five Kings, which is quite unique because it expands into a sponge like shape when it comes into contact with water (i.e. saliva), but it still feels a bit thick and often gets stuck when sliding out. It has a fresh and pleasant mint smell

The above few are all similar, everyone can try which one is most suitable for themselves

What other useful dental floss have you used? Welcome to add~

In summary, protecting teeth must start from daily life, and don't wait until there are problems with your teeth before trying to remedy them. May we all have good teeth!
